9-1 (Term 2 Art 9 Class) would like to invite you to tour their sculpture installation located in the front lobby’s display case. Called FUSION, this sculpture installation was conceptualized, designed, and constructed entirely by 9-1 students. Designed and created in small groups, these translucent, three-dimensional figures were designed to be a fusion of each group member’s characteristics. For example, the figure with red sneakers was constructed using one group member’s feet, another group member’s torso, and yet another group member’s arms. Other figures feature objects that represent each group member’s interests – for example, headphones or a drawing pencil. Some of these figures are also illuminated – groups could add a light source to their sculpture design if they chose to do so.
